Meet the baker
Hi, I’m the baker behind The Sweet Gathering!
Baking has been part of my life for many years. What started as a hobby gradually grew into something much bigger, taking me from Madrid, where I used to live, to the Netherlands, where I’m now settled and working as a full-time baker.
Over the years, baking has given me the chance to learn, experiment, and create all kinds of sweet treats. But even when something becomes your job, it’s important to keep that spark alive: the excitement of trying a new recipe, discovering a new technique, or simply baking something just because it sounds delicious.
That’s a feeling I wanted to reconnect with, and it became one of the reasons behind The Sweet Gathering.
Through these events, I hope to keep learning, find new inspiration, meet people who share my love for baking, and remind myself — and others — of the joy that comes from making and sharing something homemade.

Our story
Baking brings us together
The Sweet Gathering is a space to bring people together through baking, homemade treats, and shared experiences.
The idea started with a simple thought: what if we could bring together people who love baking, people who enjoy a good piece of cake, and people who are simply looking to meet others and try something new?
I wanted to create a place where we could share our creations, exchange ideas, get inspired by each other’s creativity, and maybe even make a few new friends along the way.
Every gathering can be different. Sometimes, I’ll bake a selection of treats for everyone to enjoy together. Other times, we’ll bring our own homemade creations to share, like at a cake swap. And there are plenty more ideas I’d love to explore!
You don’t have to be an expert baker to join. You don’t even have to bake at all. Whether you love experimenting with recipes, enjoy discovering new flavors, or simply appreciate a cozy afternoon with good cake and good company, there’s a place for you here.
